Airedale Terriers are surrended to NWATR for many different reasons.  Whether it is improper breeder placement, a divorce, owner health issues, or a family move, many Airedales find themselves in need of a new home.  NWATR has placed countless numbers of Airedales over the years resulting in grateful Airedales and happy homes.  Much time and effort goes into the process including getting to know the Airedale that needs our help and carefully screening potential new homes in order to ensure that each Airedale ends up in a loving forever home.

NWATR is an all volunteer charitable organization.  NWATR is a 501c(3) corporation and, as such, donations to NWATR are deductible for federal income tax purposes.  Donations to NWATR  enable us to provide our rescue Airedales with whatever care each requires prior to  placement in a new home and are greatly appreciated. Ongoing expenses for our Airedales include transportation, vetting, grooming, boarding, and foster care expenses.  Our senior Airedales sometimes require larger cash outlays.  Occasionally, we find ourselves helping an Airedale who needs surgery or requires a costly medical procedure.  Donations are vital in order for us to continue to help homeless Airedales in the Northwest region.  Another way to help our rescue efforts is purchase our unique Airedale fundraiser items in our online store.

Volunteers are always needed.  Airedale Rescue is a challenging and rewarding activity.  Many volunteers can only help periodically and many volunteer for a very specific rescue activity such as fostering or transportation while others are able to offer unlimited volunteer hours to the cause. Foster homes are always in short supply.  If you are Airedale experienced with little committed away time from the home, do let us know if you would periodically like to invite a temporarily homeless Airedale Terrier into your home.  All prospective volunteers should complete our standard adoption application and note that you are applying to volunteer.
