This is our Babe! She is approximately 1 year old and has just weaned her litter of six pups. Babe was kept tied outside until she was surrendered to rescue and was very thin, matted and in poor health. Unfortunately, much of her coat was sacrificed due to the poor conditions in which she and her puppies were kept, but it is growing well now. In the last weeks she has become a lovely girl, very friendly and learning to walk well on lead. She loves her morning walks, attention from people and is feeling healthy and full of vim. She will be spayed soon and Foster Mom and Dad are working on acclimating her to living in a house and having a family to love.
Babe is about 25 " at the shoulder and weighs 60 pounds. Her tail was not docked. She will be a nice sized girl and would be well suited to an active family. Very young children would probably not be the best situation for her. She will require some special attention to complete her training and help teach her all she needs to know. Now that her babies are ready for adoption, so is Babe. She's a darling young 'Dale! ((See Puppies in Separate Posting). Babe and Pups are at our foster home in Tracey, CA.
If you are interested in Babe or one of her pups, please let us know by first making sure you have an applicantion in with us at www.nwairedalerescue.org and then email or call Connie Turner at 503 399 9819 (firstname.lastname@example.org). As always, a securely fenced yard along with lots of time to spend with your new Airedale Terrier is a must.
