Gus is a very smart Giant Schnauzer X Airedale Mix.   At 85 lbs, Gus is a neutered boy who is confident, and affectionate with all - men, women and kids.   He loves, and often will demand attention. He has the comic traits of an Airedale teamed with the work ethics of the Giant.  Gus is a recent graduate of Academy of Canine Behavior's intense 5 week training bootcamp.  Thanks to this training, Gus has learned to channel his enthusiasm, be an obedient companion, and have better behavior with other dogs.   

 

To stay happy, Gus needs to be the only dog in his Forever Home, and a companion to a strong male, firm female or couple who will incorporate the training learned in his everyday life.  As a benefit, Academy of Canine Behavior gives on-going lifetime support to Gus & his owners for remedial training as needed since he is a graduate of their Boot Camp.  Gus has working dog characteristics so being a constant companion would put him in heaven.  Dog parks are not a fit for Gus so he will need to be walked and have a fenced yard to stretch his legs.   If you are interested in Gus please complete an application http://www.nwairedalerescue.org/forms/form?formid=582.   For questions, please call Connie at 415.250.4386.
